Springfield Castle has 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house is fully equipped to a high standard and is centrally heated. The castle bedrooms consist of  3 double rooms, 2 rooms with twin beds and 2 single rooms. The kitchen has both an oil-fired range and electric cookers, microwave, dishwasher, etc.

A washing machine and dryer are located in a separate laundry room. There is an elegant drawing room with open fireplace, a separate comfortable sitting room with open fire and TV and a spacious dining room with a large mahogany table comfortably accommodating 12 guests.

Also on the premises are leisure facilities including a sauna for relaxation, full sized snooker\billiard table, table tennis, darts and a hard court tennis court. At the farm there is a children's playground.

There is also a delightful cottage on the grounds secluded and yet only a 2 minute walk from the castle. The cottage sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a large comfortable living room / kitchen.

The farm raises sheep and pigs, all kept free range in the fields, in  addition to the deer. The animals are farmed organically. A tour of the farm with Jonathan either on foot or in the special tractor-trailer (depending on ground conditions) is not to be missed.

Both the villages of Drumcollogher (2 miles) and Broadford (1mile) have good supermarkets and shops for supplies and of course plenty of pubs! Newcastlewest (10miles) is a larger market town and Limerick city is 35miles.  Cork city is 40 miles. Charleville also known as Rath Luirc is 12 miles and has a mainline railway station (Cork-Dublin) and also a charming theatre, "the schoolyard" with local and visiting theatrical productions.

Golfers are well provided for with 18 hole courses in Newcastlewest,  Charleville,  Adare and of course Ballybunion is only 1 hour away. If you are interested in history, the area of west Limerick abounds in historical sites from the Stone Age circles of Lough Gur to the many Norman
castles.

Anglers will enjoy both course and game fishing in the local rivers and lakes. The Castle is ideally situated for touring: Cork, The Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, The Cliffs of Moher, Galway and Cashel to name but a few are within an easy day trip.
Springfield is just an hour and a quarter from Shannon Airport.
