has been riding since he was a child. At the age of 16 he began a
serious career in show jumping, and trained with many
international instructors. He has competed Grade A (highest level)

In 1969 Aidan trained and rode his first
steeplechase winner, and in subsequent years went on to compete in over 150 races
including the formidable English Grand National at Aintree!
As a professional horse trainer, Aidan has had many successes in Ireland and abroad. Some
of his horses reached the highest levels in their respective disciplines.
Aidan hunts almost every day of the season, both in
Ireland and abroad. He is continually schooling and educating young horses whose futures
may lie in the hunting, eventing or show jumping disciplines. This is also the best way
for him to find talented young horses for his extensive overseas clientele.
Aidan has been
able to develop a unique training program that benefits all riders, from beginners and
pleasure riders to the serious advanced competitor. His clinics emphasize safety in the
hunt field and cross country jumping by improving balance and building confidence.
Aidan teaches clinics in Ireland, Germany, and the
United States. Always in the public eye, Aidan is known for his keen sense of fashion and
style.
His instructional video "Crossing The Irish
Banks" is well respected as an invaluable training tool both in Ireland and abroad.
